Food Memory Game Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Food, a matching game, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. Food is a puzzle -based matching game. Each puzzle piece shows half of a piece of food, such as cake. The goal is to match both pieces of the same food. The tricky part is all the pieces are the same size. I wanted the game for Kalen. Puzzles is one of his ARD/IEP goals. Plus, he needs to learn more food based words, especially chicken, hot dogs, turkey, and other meat is called chicken, while apples and oranges are called apples. He also knows salt, ice, water, cookie, and cake.

The game also helps improve hand-eye coordination and fine-motor skills. The pieces are made from a thick cardboard, which is easy to pick up. The pictures are bright and colorful. Your kids will enjoy matching with this puzzle game.

You can purchase the game, using the link above. The game is prime-eligible.

Consumer Associates Essential Oil Nebulizer Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Consumer Associates Essential Oil Nebulizer, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The nebulizer requires assembly. The parts include the USB power supply (and wall charger); the base; oil holder, and top. The nebulizer differs from a diffuser because it does not use water. You fill the base of the nebulizer with essential oils and then turn it on. The nebulizer comes with four modes, including a continuous mode (hit the button four times).

Since there is no water, the smell of the oils is stronger and you don't have to operate it as longer. For stronger oils, such as lavender,  I had to turn it off before the cycle completed. You will have to dump out the oils after 24 hours of being in the nebulizer.

The nebulizer was easy to assemble and use. The scent fills the room faster than a traditional diffuser. I did have to be more careful when using the nebulizer around the kids because of the glass top and oil holder. The top does fall off with the slightest touch.

You can purchase the nebulizer using the link above. The nebulizer is prime-eligible.

Easy at Home Tens Unit Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Easy at Home Tens Unit, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The unit came with the electrode pads, the electrodes, batteries, and the unit. I wanted a tens unit for lower back pain. You can also use the unit on shoulders, arms, waist, hips, etc.

The unit is entirely touch screen, with the exception of the power and intensity dial.  You choose the area to work on and the type of massage. There are three massages to choose from.  I connected one pad to one electrode and the unit did not work until I connected two pads. I used two pads at first, and then hooked up all four for a better massage.

Do not use the unit if you have a pacemaker or any other implanted medical devices. I had to use the unit when Kalen was sleep. Kalen has a pacemaker and wants to do everything I do, including mess with buttons, even on a tens unit. Also adjust the power and intensity slowly. Do not start off on the highest setting just in case, the tingling is too much.

From the amazon listing, do not use the unit on your face,  heart, and groin areas.

The unit was easy to assemble and easy to use. The maximum time for use is 60 minutes. You will have to restart the unit if you need more time.

You can purchase the unit,  using the link above. The tens unit is prime-eligible.

Feelings memory and match game review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Feelings, a matching game, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. Feelings is a matching/memory game. I got it for Kalen and Brad to help them recognize emotions. '

The pieces are made from sturdy cardboard, cut into square shapes. The kids can learn facial expressions and match pieces together. Brad has not taken to the game, but Kalen does like looking at the faces. The kids have not matched anything successfully yet, but hopefully in time, they will be able to match a few pieces.

You can purchase the game, using the link above. The game is prime-eligible.

Doodletopia Fairy Book Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Doodletopia Faires, in exchange for honest review from Blogging for Books. The book teaches people how to draw fairies. I had a few initial doodles drawn out but Kalen ripped those pages out my sketch pad (go toddlers). I wanted to try out the book because I love the draw. I am not a professional, but I do love to doodle and sketch when stressed.

The instructions were easy to follow. Some fairies may take some multiple erasing to get it right. The first few fairies, the book provides the face template for you to sketch on. The book is not a technical book--this book is for fun in teaching how to draw fairies. You don't have to worry about proportions, light, and other things, I forgot since graphic design school :-)

You can purchase the book, using the link above. The book is prime-eligible. The book comes in paperback format only.

Refresh (Kregel Book Tours)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Refresh, in exchange for honest review from Kregel Book Tours. The book was written by Kimberly M. Drew and Jocelyn Green.

I wanted to read the book because being a special needs parent is lonely, depressing, and frustrating. I need encouragement daily. Between the screaming; head banging (Kalen); and potty training issues, I feel on the verge of a break down any day now.

Brad is 16, Autistic with ADHD and a Creatine deficiency disorder. Brad is not potty trained, but hates being wiped. Brad doesn't like being told no. He throws things. He punches holes in walls (luckily, not here yet), and can get very aggressive towards people. Brad's mental age is 0 -6 months. Brad can walk, dress his self to a point, and eats like a regular teenager. Brad's latest incident was he broke a window at school. He also cracked my bedroom door.

Kalen has Global Development Delays; Autism; Sensory Processing Disorder; Creatine Deficiency Disorder; Sleep Apnea, and Static Encephalopathy. Kalen has a heart monitor and a pacemaker. Kalen is a helper monkey. He loves to help people, sometimes at a cost. Imagine using the bathroom and a toddler hands you one square of tissue at a time lol. Kalen also hates water in his face and head. Once, he climbed into the shower and got hit by a blast of water and was traumatized. He hid in the back of the tub and refused to move. I had to pick him up and calm him down. He did not speak or cry for hours that day.

Kalen functions on a 2-3 year range, mentally and functionally. Kalen had early intervention, occupational therapy; physical therapy; and preschool for children with developmental disabilities, but these services was not available when Brad was diagnosed. Brad fell through the cracks and functions at a lower level than his younger brother.

Trying to work with both of them is mentally draining. Don't let both need something at the same time because it can be too much.

At the end of each chapter, you do have a few questions to answer in a section called "digging deeper".

You can purchase the book, using the link above. The book comes in Kindle and paperback format. The book is prime-eligible.

Dilanni Plus Sized Body Con Dress (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Dilanni Plus Sized Body Con Dress in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I ordered the dress is black/navy in 1x. The front size was blue and it was runched. The back side is black lace. There is a slip between the front and back side.

The dress fit perfectly. I loved the length of the dress. The dress was longer than some of the other body con dresses I have. The breast area wasn't too exposed, when I used my genie bra but was slightly exposed when I used an exercise bra, as seen in the photos.

You can purchase the dress, using the link above. The dress is not prime-eligible. The dresses range from 0x to 5x. The dress also comes in black and porcelain and black and burgundy.

Activa Protein Powder Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Activia Protein Powder Strawberry flavored, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The protein powder contains natural ingredients and does not contain any chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, and toxins. The protein comes in a 2 lb bag.

I love protein powders. Great way to get nutrition and some energy in the mornings. I had just got a new shaker bottle before the powder arrived. The powder has a nice taste, if shaken well with no clumps.

You can purchase the protein powder using the link above. The powder also comes in vanilla flavored. The protein powder is prime-eligible.

Victoria's Love Clear Menstrual Cup Review

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I recieved Victoria's Love Clear Menstrual Cup, in exchange for honest review. I used this during the last few cycles to see how it works. What sets it apart is first, the cup is clear versus the traditional blue or pink. Next, the cup has a built-in valve for releasing discharge, while on the toilet. This makes the process cleaner and less messy. The cup is also made from softer silicone versus other menstrual cups, I have used before.

Cleaning a menstrual cup in public can be a challenge at times. I had a horrible incident a few months ago, but luckily no one came into the bathroom, while I was running back and forth to the sink to clean the cup and myself. The discharge valve is a life saver. To control the valve, you move the ball gently down to release flow and up to stop flow from being released. Moving the ball too fast can case the ball to a) fall through the discharge hole and into the toilet (which has happened before. The cup does come with an extra ball) or b) go too far up into the cup and may fall out as well. The cup also has a clear case.

Side note: If you have blood clots, you may have to still take it out to remove the clots from the cup. Another trick, I have done is to get some tissue and squeeze the cup around the discharge valve to slowly remove any clots.

Another side note: I have had the cup fall out a few times during bowel movements.

Make sure to take out your cup every 12 or so hours and run it under some hot water to freshen it up. Like other menstrual cups, the cup can develop a strong, unpleasant smell when left in too long.

You can purchase the cup using the link above. The company also sells a menstual cup sanitizer for sanitizing your menstrual cups. The cup comes in large and small.

40 Days of Motherhood by Sarah Humphey Review (Litfuse)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received 40 days of Motherhood by Sarah Humphrey, in exchange for honest review from Litfuse. The book is part devotional and part adult coloring book.

Depending on the medium used, inks from gel pens can bleed through the devotional on the next page. Some pens do not bleed through but you can see the colors thru the other side, as you read the devotional.

I wanted this book because I need more Jesus in my life and I love adult coloring books. I thought the book was a great concept. You are encouraged each day and you have an image to color as well.

I do like how the author poses questions on the devotional and you have enough space to write them out on the devotional side. The coloring side also can be interactive such as one of the pages says "hello my name is" and you have blank space to creatively write your name.

You can purchase the book using the link above. The book is prime-eligible.

Say and Pray Devotionals Review (Flyby Blog Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Say and Pray Devotions by Diane Storz in exchange for honest review from FlyBy Blog Promotions. The book is a Christian, Children's book. The book comes in board book format.

The book is simple. It has sight and learning words on each page, which makes it perfect for Kalen to learn new words. He also loved the book. It was easy to carry around and the book was durable (comes in handy when you have a destructive toddler). He still managed to rip off the front cover though.

There are also bible verses throughout the book, but my toddler was not interested in anything but pointing to the pictures and me telling him the word. The pages are colorful and bright, which also captured the toddlers attention. Kalen has improved dramatically in language since last year. He has picked up on more single words as well as multiple word phrases. The book is a great addition to his learning library.

You can purchase the book using the link above. The book is prime-eligible.

ChefVantage Manual Citrus Juicer Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Chef Vantage Citrus Juicer, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted to review the juicer because of the design. I have used more modern juicers before, but never used the traditional juicer before. What sets this apart is it takes the traditional manual juicer and adds a measuring cup and a lid for storage. Each part also separates for easy cleaning and assembly.

The juicer was easy to use. I cut my lemons and limes in half and placed on top of the juicer and juiced away. I used the rest of the lemon and limes to make  infused water with the citrus juice.

You can purchase the Citrus Juicer, using the link above. The juicer is prime-eligible.
