Hearing God in Conversation Book Review (Kregel Blog Tours)

Disclaimer; This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I read Hearing God in Conversation, in exchange for honest review from Kregel BlogTours. The book was written by Samuel C. Williamson and published by Kregel Publications.

I wanted to read this book because I struggle to hear the voice of God. I hear stories since youth of how God talked to others and I wondered if he has ever spoken to me. On the other hand, God has given me dreams and visions, some I understood and some I did not.

One thing, I am sure I heard God on was naming Kalen, whose full name means beautiful gift of God. Naming Brad was easy--he is named after his daddy, but I struggled with names for Kalen. This was not my department and I did not want him having a complicated or stupid name. I asked God to help me name Kalen and he sent me two words in a dream. I used a baby name meaning site to find names related to those two words and Kalen Nathaniel was born.

Another thing I learned over the years through reading, church, and others was God will never tell you something contradictory to the Word. The first thing, which stood out in the book was when Williamson said God is always speaking to us and he wants us to hear him. God wants a personal relationship with us, no matter your age, race, occupation, God wants us to grow closer to him.

The next thing, which stood out was the author said God has multiple ways to speak to people, not just in conversation. He may speak with a nudge in the heart, pictures (such as my vision about naming Kalen), or a scripture to read. .God speaks through visions and dreams too. I thought something was wrong with me because I wasn't having these direct conversations, when God was speaking through me using other methods. The author also said God does not lecture us mostly in conversation. God may not use a full on sermon. He wants a conversation, constant communication, even informal. God wants you to be yourself. The author said no one wants a silent partner when communicating (p. 38). You build a relationship via two way conversation.

You can purchase the book, using the link above. The book is available in Kindle and paperback format. The book is prime-eligible.

#BeachTent Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the portable Beach Tent, in exchange for honest review. The beach tent was designed by Sportneer. I wnated the tent for Kalen for when we go to the park or as a play area at home since he likes playing alone. The tent is a nice secluded place for him to play with his toys. The tent does come with the stakes for securing to the ground.

When I first opened the tent, I was pleasantly surprised. The tent was bigger than expected. You will need a bit of room to lay it flat on the ground.

The trickiest part was folding it to put back in the bag.

You can purchase the bag,  using the link above. The tent is not prime-eligible.

Brooklyn Botany Lavender Oil Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I recieved Brooklyn Botany Lavender Oil, in exchange for honest review. My bottle did arrive a bit leaked (top not screwed on tight), but I loved the smell of the lavender oil. The lavender had a nice aroma. I use Lavender oil in the kids bath, mixed with a carrier oil. I also add a few drops to the carpet cleaner and fabric steamer to freshen the floor and clothes. The diffuser is also a great way to add a few drops to freshen the room.

Lavender oil has so many uses from lotions to scrubs to face masks.

You can purchase the lavender oil, using the link above. The oil is prime-eligible.

Alexis Leroy Sandals Review

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Low Wedge Platform Heels Buckle Sandals (Black) and the Peep Toe Wedge Heels Sandals(Black) in exchange for honest review. I loved the look of the shoes and wanted to try something else besides tennis shoes and basic sandal designs. I wanted a nicer look for more casual and formal occassions, such as my recent cruise. I wore both pairs of sandals to formal dining.

My favorite was the buckle sandals. They have a nice design with 3 flower baubles. The hardest part for me was re-learning how to buckle the sandals (for both pair). I took a few minutes to strap on each shoe.

I was able the wear the shoes for a few hours without discomfort. I haven't worn a buckle sandle in years.  I do wish both buckle straps was a bit longer though for easier fastening.

You can purchase either sandal using the link above. The shoes are prime-eligible. The low wedges come in yellow,  blue and black, while the peep toe comes in black and beige.

#luminwiz light bulb review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received a Luminwiz lightbulb in exchange for honest review. I am moving soon and needed light bulbs for the household. The light bulb is a flood light, perfect for the front porch or patio. The lightbulb is dimmable as well. The light is 50 watts, which is not too bright but not a low light either.

I also like how the bulb is energy efficient. I haven't had an electric bill in my name in a long time, but it is nice to save on the bill from time to time.

You can purchase the light bulb, using the link above. The bulb is prime-eligible.

Dust Pan Set Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Spruce Bay's Dust Pan Set, in exchange for honest review. I wanted the set because I am moving soon and the brushes will help clean my old space and prepare for the new space. The set comes with a dustpan and four brushes; a squeegee, a toilet/sink brush; a scrub brush; and a grout brush.

The dust pan lasted a few days before a kid broke it, but the brushes have helped clean the bathroom sinks, toilet, and floors. The bathroom needs to be cleaner while potential buyers are viewing the house. I used the scrub brush also on stains on the bedroom floor.

You can buy the set, using the link above. The set is prime-eligible.

Glue Sticks Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Ohuhu Glue Sticks, in exchange for honest review. The sticks are made for a mini glue gun. The glue sticks also are longer than a traditional mini glue stick. The sticks took a few minutes longer than a shorter glue stick to heat up for use. I do like the length. It helped with some patch jobs around the house, such as when a steamer, I am reviewing, cracked. The length helps with bigger jobs, which requires multiple shorter glue sticks. Nothing like starting a project, only to run out of shorter glue sticks and have to hunt one down or order more online.

You can purchase the sticks using the link above. The sticks are prime-eligible.

I Love You Just Because Book Review (FlyBy Blog Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links

I read I love you just because by Donna Keith, in exchange for honest review. I received a padded board book. The book is Christian-based.

In the book, the mama and daddy bearas explain why they love the baby bears, just because. They love the babies, even if they didn't have food. They are loved even if they can't climb. The book is so cute. The pictures are bright and colorful.

Kalen didn't care for any of the words. He liked the pictures of the baby animals. All I heard was
"baby" and "the baby" when he pointed to the baby animals. This was one of the first books, I couldn't get a word in because he loved the pictures more. I had to wait until he handed over the book to read it in its entireity.

You can purchase the book using the link above. The book comes in padded board book only. The book is prime-eligible.
