Top 12 places to visit in Texas by Judy Rookstool Review (Tomoson)

I received Jody Rookstool's Top 12 Places to Visit in Texas. in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I received a paperback book.

I was born and raised in Texas, but I hardly have visited anywhere. I moved away and now back in Texas for the past 5 years and still rarely go anywhere. The last place I visited in Texas was San Antonio. We visited my favorite park, Morgans Wonderland; went to the caverns (free tickets from US Family Guide), and walked downtown. I did pass by the Alamo but that was it. We went to the Schlitterbahn in 2014 (never again for me and my kids).

I wanted to learn more about where to visit in Texas, whenever I get a chance to. The book provides 12 places to visit and I have only visited one of them: Space Center Houston, when I was in high school. AFJROTC field trip. The other places include:

  1. Padre Island National Seashore
  2. Moody Gardens
  3. The Lights of Marfa
  4. Dinosaur Valley State Park
  5. The Hill of James Magee
  6. Cadillac Ranch
  7. Gorgan Falls
  8. Big Texan Steak Ranch
  9. Fort Worth Stockyards
  10. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area
  11. Washington on the Brazos
A lot of these places, I never heard of, let alone know where they are located. The author provides a history of each place, things to do, and links to the webpages.

You can purchase the book on Amazon, using the link above. The book comes in paperback and kindle format.
