Dr Careys Baby Care First Year Baby Care Guide Review (Tomoson)

I received Dr. Carey's Baby Care: First Year Baby Care Guide in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Dr. Carey Chronis. I received the guide plus two swaddling blankets, I gave away to a new parent. The book comes in glossy format on every page with bright, colorful pictures.

I wanted to review the book because I wanted to know more about baby's milestones. My children met hardly none of the "normal" milestones. Not meeting the milestones, let me know something was wrong, so I could get treatment right away. For example, I suspected Kalen had Autism. I voiced my concerns to WIC and as soon as he turned one, he was enrolled in the early intervention program. Because of program completion, Kalen was able to start The Preschool for Children with Developmental Disabilities. He will be enrolled for the next two years, until it is time for pre-k.

I also suspected a heart condition and voiced my concerns to his doctor. I was right on both diagnoses.

Currently Kalen's mental age is around 12 months, but some of his functioning is around 24 months. Kalen is 3 years old. He has Autism, Global Development Delays, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Static Encephalopathy (heart condition).

Brad, on the other hand, has a mental age of 3 to 4 years old. Brad is 13 years old with Autism and ADHD.

My favorite part was the development by age section. The book provides milestones for motor skills, language, and social behavior for each month.

The book also discusses illnesses,  rashes, umbilical cord care, and bundling. The book also discusses poop. Such as the difference between bottled-fed babies poo versus breast-fed babies poop.

The book is a good read.

The book is sold on Amazon in Kindle and Paperback format.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
